The Monroeville United Methodist Pre-School is a child oriented learning environment for pre-school children.  It provides an accepting, enriching environment, a well-planned curriculum, and a professional and skilled staff so that the following occurs:

1. The child feels accepted as a worthwhile individual.

2. The child is enabled to move toward independence, autonomy and responsibility.

3. The child discovers another safe and secure environment in the transition from home to school.

4. The child learns to become a functioning member of a group.

5. The child learns to express feelings and wants in a socially accepted manner.

6. The child has a greater awareness and understanding of the world around him and his place in it.

7. The child acquires a foundation for academic work in school.
